Shown in Rowan Pure Cashmere

The Welted Fingerless Gloves are simply gorgeous and buttery soft knit in Rowan Pure Cashmere. This DK-weight, 100% cashmere yarn produces wonderful stitch definition and—miracle of miracles!—tends to pill less than other cashmeres. Pure Cashmere is spun on the shores of Loch Leven, in a mill that melds generations of tradition with environmentally conscious practices.

Women’s medium: 6½"/16cm around palm (for smaller hands, use smaller needles throughout).

1 skein Rowan Pure Cashmere (150 yds/137m); Or approx. 100 yds/91m of an equivalent dk-weight yarn. Sample shown in color 90 Ink Well.

US 6 (4mm) double-points, or size to obtain gauge.
US 5 (3.75mm) double-points, or one size smaller than gauge size.
Optional: 6–10 small buttons.

23 sts = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch.

1. Some knitters have trouble with the thumb directions. It is a wordy patch, isn't it? Stick it out though, because the thumb bind-off is quite tidy. It might help to have someone read the directions out loud to you.

2. Pam points out that while buttons are optional, if you add them, you create a left and a right glove. Otherwise your gloves are reversible. Something to consider!
