"Utilitarian charm."

A tea cozy does the very important job of keeping your tea at the optimum temperature during steeping and deliciously hot 'til you pour the next cup. We think they should be adorable, too. We’re in love with this wee Scottie pup charted by our Celt-o-phile friend, Sandy Blue! Add winsome style to your tea cozy using duplicate stitch from our new free Scottie chart.

Shown in Worsted-Weight Yarn

Designer Karen Alfke included a plain stockinette panel you can embellish as simply—or as fancifully—as you like. Or omit the plain panel and make it seed-stitch all over. Either way, it's a charming housewarming, shower, or hostess gift.

Yarn Source

To fit 4-cup teapot.

1 skein Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran or approx. 100 yds of equivalent worsted-weight yarn.

US 6 (4mm), or size to obtain gauge; 2 double-points (dpns) in gauge size; 2 locking markers; darning needle. Optional: Washable yarn for embroidery; buttons.

20 sts/36 rows = 4" in seed stitch.
