Ribbed Watch Cap & Beanie Pattern

Ribbed Watch Cap & Beanie Pattern

The Design

“Sailor's savvy and skateboard cool.”

This classic, close-fitting cap exhibits equal parts sailor's savvy and skateboard cool. We designed it in a fine gauge yarn in single rib, with a comfy tubular cast-on and nifty mitered decreases. We love the watch cap in its most quintessential form, with a deep cuff. And the beanie begged for a modern color-tipped edge. Great on girls, too!

Errata & Clarifications

Kit notes that in her experience, working the double decreases up close on small double-points, is (not to put too fine a point on it) 'vigorous'. Make sure you use a good strong set of double-point needles. And remember to—as always—stop every so often to stretch.
