Jolly Wee Elf [2] Using Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift

“Have your elf a merry little Christmas.”

Our wee friends love to help you celebrate the holidays. And they’ve certainly dressed up for the occasion! These handmade pals are fun, festive, and full of cheer. Popped in a stocking, presented with a package, perched among the boughs of your tree—the more you make, the merrier!

See the "Knitter's Notes" on using the yarn for the larger elf.

Yarn Source

Jimmy Beans Wool

Tiny wee elf: Approx. 3½"/9cm tall, or desired height.
Larger wee elf (not pictured): Approx. 4½"/11.5cm tall, or desired height.

3 skeins Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift (115 yds/105m each): 1 each of three colors.

Tiny wee elf: US 1½ (2.5mm) double-points (set of five), or size to obtain gauge.
Larger wee elf: US 3 (3.25mm) double-points (set of five), or size to obtain gauge.
One locking marker.
Wool batting or polyester stuffing.

Tiny wee elf: 28–32 sts=4"/10cm in stockinette stitch worked in the round.
Larger wee elf: 24-26 sts=4"/10cm in stockinette stitch worked in the round.
Note: Gauge is not critical, but you want a firm fabric so your stuffing does not show through.

If using Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift for the DK-weight version of our elves (aka the "larger wee elf"), simply hold yarn double throughout body, hat and scarf.
