The Design

"Balanced between sporty and rustic."

This simple color-blocked piece is knitted end to end using the very simplest form of the intarsia method. You’ll learn how to manage both colors in each row and crossing strands at the color change—great practice for a more ambitious intarsia project!

For a Graphic Two-Tone Scarf balanced between rustic and sporty, we chose two contrasting colors of Berroco Ultra Alpaca. This worsted-weight blend of Peruvian Highland wool and alpaca is spun up perfectly round and light. The wool has enough bounce to balance the drape of alpaca and add resilience as well. Sturdy enough to wear every day, Ultra Alpaca makes a scarf that’s delightfully soft and warm.
