Felted Gingerbread Ornaments Using Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted

“Jolly cookie shapes.”

The knitting's as easy as pie—easier, actually! Once your knitted piece is fully felted, simply use the included templates (or trace your own favorite cookie cutters) to cut 'dough' into jolly cookie shapes. Decorate as desired (we've included embroidery instructions). Hang them on your tree, tie them onto packages, string garlands—you get the idea. Yum!

Shown in Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted

This yarn is the fastest felter we've tried, although Cascade 220 worked pretty well. We felted in a plastic dish tub with heavy rubber gloves, hot water (a tea kettle always boiling up on the side) and the nastiest soap we had: powdered laundry soap. It was fun to see the stitches disappear.

Yarn Source

Jimmy Beans Wool

After felting and cutting open: Approx. 22"/56cm around x 5½"/14cm high.
