Shown in Euroflax Sport-Weight Linen

The larger-sized Diagonal Lace Wrap in Louet’s rustic Euroflax Sport-Weight Linen is perfect for cool evenings or to wrap twice as a lavish scarf. Gleaned from blue-flowering flax whose stems are nearly a yard long, Euroflax is wet-spun, then double-boiled and steamed for softness. We love the way the fiber takes color, and the way it continues to soften, wash after wash.

Yarn Source

LANAKNITSLANAKNITS

Approx. 14 x 84"/33 x 214cm.

2 skeins Louet Euroflax Fine/ Sport Weight (270 yds/247m each); Color 36 Natural. Or approx. 540 yds/494m of sport-weight yarn.

US 8 (5mm) needles, or size to obtain gauge.

Approx. 17 sts = 4"/10cm in pattern stitch, after blocking.

We can't say it enough—as with any lace project, the beauty is in the blocking! If you're curious halfway through your project, you can do what Carol did with our Isager Alpaca Merino 2 sample. She was really enjoying the soft drapey nature of the yarn in her hands, and couldn't wait to see the lace pattern blocked open over a full-width piece, so upon finishing her second skein, she put her live stitches on a piece of waste yarn and blocked it early! A little bit of the "Ahh!" factor to carry you through the rest of the project. Re-block the whole thing when you finish for a gorgeous result.
