Basic Socks Using Regia 6-Ply Color

“For happy feet.”

Our mothers (and their mothers) knew this sock by heart—its vertical heel flap, turned heel, picked-up gussets, and grafted toe. For many of us, it’s the first sock we learned. We return again and again to this straightforward, comfy basic. Once you understand its simple structure, improvise to your heart’s content!

Shown in Regia 6-Ply Color

We knit this pair of Basic Socks in Regia 6-Ply Color. This DK-weight yarn plays with pops and washes of color, creating fun stripes. With a fiber content of wool and polyamide, this workhorse of a yarn feels softer than you may think. The tightly plied structure gives great shape retention, and it’s machine washable and dryer safe.
