Shown in Hemp for Knitting allhemp6

We couldn’t resist reyarning this pasttern in Hemp for Knitting’s summer-friendly allhemp6. Mercerized for color fastness, softness and sheen, it won’t fade or pill. And it only gets softer and more lustrous with each washing and drying. The more you wear it, the more you’ll love it!

Yarn Source

LANAKNITSLANAKNITS

Approx. 8"/20 cm wide x 66"/167 cm long.

2 skeins of Hemp for Knitting allhemp6 (165 yds/150m each); shown here in color 018 Sapphire.
Or approx. 330 yds/302m of an equivalent DK-weight plant fiber yarn.

US 8 (5mm) needle, or size to obtain gauge.

17 sts = 4" in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking.

We can't say it enough—as with any lace project, the beauty is in the blocking! If you're curious halfway through your project, you can do what Carol did with our Isager Alpaca Merino 2 sample. She was really enjoying the soft drapey nature of the yarn in her hands, and couldn't wait to see the lace pattern blocked open over a full-width piece, so upon finishing her second skein, she put her live stitches on a piece of waste yarn and blocked it early! A little bit of the "Ahh!" factor to carry you through the rest of the project. Re-block the whole thing when you finish for a gorgeous result.
