Rowan presents Pebble Island, a very special, limited-quantity yarn! It’s named after one of the islands in the Falklands archipelago, where a farming family and several thousand unique merino sheep make their home. These sheep graze freely on the island and produce some of the world’s finest merino wool!

Sheared by hand and shipped to the UK, where it’s spun and dyed at family-owned mill in Yorkshire, this wool makes a breathable, resilient, bouncy, light worsted-weight yarn. The lovely color palette was developed by Erika Knight and is inspired by Pebble Island’s stones, flora, and fauna.

Rowan procured Pebble Island’s entire clip from several shearings, and is committed to continuing to purchase from the island each year!
