The Design
A timeless little hip-length cardi always manages to look modern. Ours has classic details: a pretty jewel neckline, knit-a-long button bands, full- or bracelet-length sleeves. In eight sizes and with two sleeve lengths, you can make this cardigan just right for you.
We knit this charming, tweedy cardi with bracelet-length sleeves using Rowan Felted Tweed—one of our all-time favorite yarns. A little rustic and a little refined, Felted Tweed is on the finer side of DK-weight. It blends merino wool (for softness and spring) with alpaca and viscose (for drape, luster and stitch definition). Plus it blocks beautifully and seams like a dream. Is it any wonder it’s the quintessential yarn for this cardigan?

Stitch markers: 2 ring markers; 8 locking markers or coiless safety pins for ‘clip-and- turn’ short-row shaping, button placement, and setting in sleeves.
