Great news! Now, when you purchase a Churchmouse Classics PDF pattern from us, you can add it to your Ravelry library!

Simply purchase the PDF from as you would usually. When you've completed your order, you'll see the order confirmation screen with a link to add your new pattern to your Ravelry library. Follow that link to Ravelry, where you'll see a pop-up asking if you'd like to store the pattern in your library. Click, 'Yes, add to this library" and you're all set!

For friends in our area, we have streamlined our local pickup process. When you check out, you can now select 'Pick up' as an option under 'Delivery method.' You'll receive an email when your order is ready to be picked up at 179 Madrone Lane N, Suite 100, Bainbridge Island, WA.

It’s spring! (Or it will be quite soon.) And that’s why it’s a good time to start something new.

For 19 of our 20 years, we mailed out paper newsletters. Last autumn, holiday, and this winter, we published three online newsletters. With your feedback and input, we’ve decided to move forward with sharing beautiful imagery and in-depth content in a new blog-style format.

Please say hello to the Churchmouse Journal—a regular feature on our website! It’s rather like an ongoing newsletter, where we share content more often (every two or three weeks) and in smaller bites.

The Journal is searchable, archivable, and always worth a look. Our very first post—Refresh Your Knits—is about caring for your hand-knit and -crocheted pieces as you store them (or unpack them) for the coming spring and summer. Hope you like it and find it useful!

We can create these communications among our community because of your support. You are as much a part of Churchmouse as we are, and we’re so very grateful.

A quick heads-up: next week, February 22nd-25th, our website will be undergoing a little bit of maintenance. This means some yarns will be temporarily unavailable during that time period. Once our maintenance is complete, they'll be right back where they belong! Thank you for your patience.

At checkout, there is a box where you can add Gift Cards and Discount codes. There are some great features and just one limitation:

  • On each order, you can use many Gift Card codes AND one (only one) Discount Code.
  • To use many Gift Card codes on one order, just click “Apply” and add another.
  • However, you can only use one Discount code on each order. When you click “Apply”, the box will display the last code you entered.
  • If we are running an automatic promotion (such as a sitewide sale), you won’t be able to enter even one discount code.
  • LOCALPICKUP is a discount code. Mouse Points rewards are also a discount code.
  • If you want to use a discount code (such as Mouse Points rewards) on an order you’d like to pick up, use the discount code and write LOCAL PICKUP in the “Notes” field when you check out. We will refund your shipping.

Beginning 1 September 2020, the pickup location will be at our online offices, 179 Madrone Lane N, in the building above and behind Mora Ice Creamery. From the old storefront, walk up the hill and turn left into the parking lot. Local Pickup is available 7 days a week from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

The big day isn't very far away! We'd like to remind you that Kit and John have given Churchmouse staff time off from Thursday, December 24th to Sunday, December 27th. Although our website will remain available for customer shopping, all services will be suspended so that we can rest and visit virtually with family and friends. Here is our schedule:

Thursday, December 24th—Christmas Eve: CLOSED. Kit and John will be in the office for last-minute local pick-ups from 10:00am 'til 2:00pm. No shipping, phone, or email services.
Friday, December 25th (Merry Christmas) through Sunday, December 27th—CLOSED. No pickup, shipping, phone, or email services.
Monday December 28th—OPEN. All systems are go!
Tuesday, December 29th—YEAR END SALE. Enjoy up to 75% off on selected items as we prepare for the winter season.

In these times of uncertainty, who can predict much less guarantee arrival dates?

If, like us, you are considering this a free-flowing Holiday “Season”, then please use these dates as good guidelines. If you are determined to have everything in hand on December 25th, then our advice is: shop early.

Our hard-working friends at the United States Postal Service have published recommended “send-by” dates for expected delivery before December 25.

Here at Churchmouse, we continue to protect our staff and customers by practicing health safety measures that require us to work with fewer people in separate areas, and stop frequently to clean and wash. Consequently, our shipping turnaround fluctuates.

Even so, these dates are guidelines, not guarantees. Anything can happen. Again, consider this 2020 holiday a “season” -- many of us celebrate a “birthday week,” so why not a “Christmas week”?

A quick reminder: Due to limited space and staff, we are unable to wind your yarn. We’ve taken this step for the safety of our small team of Mice; it reduces the production of aerosols in our workspace. It also helps to shorten the fulfillment time for all orders.

This removes the shipping fee and alerts our staff to prepare your order for pickup. We will notify you via email when your order is ready (within 72 hours).
