With the subtlest of details and simplest of shapes, the Minimalist Hat is all about the way you feel when you wear it. Its clean lines—no visible edging treatment, no cuff, and nearly no visible shaping—are perfect for sublimely soft, squishy yarns that produce dense, delicious fabric.

This sweetly simple hat was knit in wonderfully soft, smartly constructed Isager Eco Baby. This sport-weight yarn consists of undyed baby alpaca and organic Pima cotton in a chainette-style strand. The clever construction means this gently fuzzy yarn will resist most pilling. Created with care for the environment—without any dyes or chemical treatments—the color palette is all quiet, natural neutrals.

19"/48cm around (fits 20-23"/51-58cm head); approx. 10"/25cm deep for shorter slouch or 12"/30cm for longer slouch.

1 (2) skein(s) Isager Eco Baby (164 yds/150m each).
Or approx. 164 (210) yds/150 (192)m of an equivalent DK-weight chainette yarn.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 7 (4.5mm) 16"/40cm circular needle and set of 5 double-points, or size to obtain gauge.
US 5 (3.75mm) 16"/40cm circular needle, or two sizes smaller than gauge needle.
5 locking markers, one in a different color to designate beginning of round.
Blunt darning needle to finish.

GAUGE
Approx. 24 sts = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch (knit every round).
