The Design

This simple slouchy hat pattern was designed by the team at Blue Sky Fibers for Woolstok, and we are in love! All the stripey sequences are written out for you—the number of colors, their ratio, and placement.

A quick knit and a great stash-buster of a pattern, it uses twenty-one colors of a worsted-weight yarn. A ribbed brim—which keeps the hat nicely in place—is then followed by easy stockinette stitch in the round. Light enough for any season, it's as fun to knit as it is to wear!

The Details

FINISHED SIZE
21" circumference x 10" height.

YARN
21 mini-skeins Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok; each approximately 12 yds and 5 grams. Or approx. 12 yds each of 21 colors of worsted weight yarn.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 7 (4.5mm) 16" circular needles and double-point needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
US 6 (4mm) 16" circular needle, or one size smaller than gauge needle.
Stitch marker.
Darning needle for finishing.

GAUGE
20 sts/28 rows = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
