For this cowl, we took our inspiration from the wicker weave of a basket! A bit of ribbing, some slipping of stitches, and the choice of a super-chunky-weight yarn creates a fabric with great structure and very cuddly squish.

We knit this sample in Rowan Big Wool—a woolly mammoth of a yarn that makes any stitch pattern really pop! Spun from 100% merino wool, this yarn bulk belies an easy-to-work-with softy that knits up any project in a jiff.
