Rowan Magazine Number 51

Rowan Magazine Number 51

"The latest from our favorite British studio."

We love it when a new season's Rowan Magazine arrives: we drop everything (except our cup of tea!) and scour it from cover to cover. This spring's "stories", Artisan, Riviera, and Essentials, are replete with wearable styles to knit and crochet.

We especially love the simple shapes, textured stitches and summery cottons in the Essentials chapter. And every story seems to include stripes that sing of summer.

Carol has knitted Menton (Erika Knight's simple cabana-striped boat-neck tee in Handknit Cotton) and Sarah Hatton's Quest (a cap-sleeved, lightly cabled smock in Pima Cotton DK).

Don't miss the inspiring interview with Rowan's newest contributing designer, Julia Frank, whose free-spirited bohemian style exhibits flashes of unconventional femininity.

Soft cover; 184 pages; 47 designs.
