Plucky Knitter Single

Plucky Knitter Single

THE PLUCKY KNITTER (aka the lovely Sarah Dimond) has a small dyeing studio in Michigan and a very limited supply of excellent yarn bases, so her gorgeous yarns are not widely available. Even so, she's very kind to send us a small shipments every now and then of yarns dyed especially for us (sigh) in fun Churchmouse colors.

This batch is her Single base, a luminous single-ply of 80% merino, 20% silk that make the Churchmouse colors glow from within. The silk holds a deep luster at the heart of this yarn, and the merino adds a lofty halo that just begs to be worn next to the skin.

This yarn produces a wonderful drape in scarves and shawls. What about a Churchmouse Racing Raindrops Scarf (ooh! beads!) or a Diagonal Lace Scarf? One skein would work for the free patterns from the 2015 LSY Tour: the Over & Over Infinity Loop or our crochet offering, the Thoroughly Modern GrannyTwo skeins make a remarkable Accelerating Stripes Cowl -- two Plucky colors in one piece!

Each super-saturated color is stunning in its own right, and they all play so well together. (If a color doesn't appear below, it means we're sold out of that one in this small batch. So sorry.)

Sold Out Note: Whoops. Looks like the few hundred skeins The Plucky Knitter produced for us sold out very quickly. It may be several months before Sarah and Haley can dye another batch for us in their small facility. Want to be the first to know when they're back in stock?  Please sign up here to receive our weekly Quick Notes.
