Plucky Knitter Oxford

Plucky Knitter Oxford

Plucky Knitter Oxford

THE PLUCKY KNITTER (aka the lovely Sarah Dimond) has a small dyeing studio in Michigan and a very limited supply of excellent yarn bases, so her gorgeous yarns are not widely available. Even so, she's very kind to send us a small shipments every now and then of yarns dyed especially for us (sigh) in fun Churchmouse colors.

This batch is in her Oxford, a lovely fingering weight base that blends 75% Merino, 25% Cashmere that is custom milled and available only to Plucky. We keep saying the latest batch is our favorite, but, well, now it's this one. Sarah starts with a base that is a creamy cloudy gray tone, and when the Churchmouse colors are laid on top of that - magic! They are darker and richer and more complex than any base we've done so far, just amazing and just right for Autumn knitting projects. Fingering weight - so hats, scarves, fingerless mitts - and those lightweight sweaters we love year round.

Each super-saturated color is stunning in its own right, and they all play so well together. (If a color doesn't appear below, it means we're sold out of that one in this small batch. So sorry.)
