"Basically brilliant."

“I hope this book will help new knitters to get started,” Helga writes in her introduction to K (Knit). In a series of brilliantly written patterns, Helga expertly breaks down knitting to its basic parts. Each of the 10 garments (six pullovers, two cardigans, a hat, and a scarf) focuses on a single technique—garter, knit, purl, cables, yarnovers, brioche, and more!

Helga Isager was inspired knit her first sweater while she was in college. Thanks to the help of her mother, designer Marianne Isager, it was “easy to knit so I would not lose courage.” In K (Knit), Helga wanted to recreate that experience, to be the hand that guides new knitters to new levels of confidence and satisfaction in their knitting.

K (Knit) by Helga Isager. Softcover, 106 pages, 10 designs.
