Graphic Two-Tone Wrap & Scarf Pattern

Graphic Two-Tone Wrap & Scarf Pattern

Graphic Two-Tone Wrap & Scarf Pattern

Graphic Two-Tone Wrap & Scarf Pattern

The Design

“A little practical, a little posh.”

This simple color-blocked piece is knitted end to end using the very simplest form of the intarsia method. You’ll learn how to manage both colors in each row and crossing strands at the color change—great practice for a more ambitious intarsia project! Roomy, off-center pockets on the wrap version are a little practical (a place to hold your keys, lip balm, cold hands…) and a little posh.

Choose a cozy worsted-weight yarn, in either soft tonal shades or bold contrasts, for your Graphic Two-Tone Wrap or Scarf. For a polished, quietly lustrous wrap, we picked Rowan Kid Classic. For a scarf that’s flawlessly balanced between rustic and sporty, we love Berroco Ultra Alpaca.

This four-page pattern includes:

  • Color photography by Laura Gehring
  • Special Techniques
    • Intarsia color-blocking
    • Picking Up Stitches for Pockets
    • Adjusting Wrap Length
  • Instructions for blocking and finishing your piece
