Floras Cap Using Rowan Island Blend
The simple, elegant shape of this slouchy topper is beautifully timeless. In fact, it was inspired by heroine Flora Poste in the film Cold Comfort Farm (based on Stella Gibbons’ witty 1932 novel). With a rich, seed-stitch texture Flora’s Cap has a pleasing weight and warmth—and it seems to go with every outfit!
We knit this slouchy hat in Rowan Island Blend—soft, warm, and subtly gleaming. This DK-weight yarn is comprised of silk, baby alpaca, and fine merino wool from the rugged, remote Falkland Islands—where sheep and penguins outnumber people! Two springy, squishy plies are gently twisted together for a yarn with a slightly rustic look, but a silky, snuggly touch.
One size: To fit 21–22"/53–56cm head. Approx. 20"/51cm around x 9"/23cm tall.
2 skeins Rowan Island Blend (137 yds/125m)
