The Design

"Colorful, crocheted magic."

Linen stitch is so brilliant—the way the stitch pattern mingles and pixelates a hand-dyed yarn just thrills knitters. But why should knitters have all the fun? Enter our friend Sandra, who shared a crochet stitch with us that has the same effect. We fell in love! Unlike its knitted cousin, crocheted ‘linen stitch’ is utterly reversible. Doubly brilliant!

Berroco Medina, with its lovely, gradient colorways, is perfect for the Crocheted ‘Linen Stitch’ Scarf. A DK-weight, smoothly soft cotton blend, Medina combines variegation and marling for long washes of color that ebb and flow along the strand. Medina is Arabic for ‘town’—and it’s after the lovely, ancient towns of Northern Africa that each colorway is named!
