The Design

“Mesmerizing mesh.”

Hand-dyed yarns flourish in the artful stitches of this swooshing scarf. Kirsten Kapur designed the Colorwash Scarf for Mason-Dixon Knitting’s Field Guide No. 3--specifically with vibrant, variegated yarn in mind. The way color pools and flows through the mesh section is decidedly mesmerizing. Seeing where the color falls as you go is a knitter’s adventure!

We thought this scarf would entrance in the deep, vivid colors of Manos del Uruguay's Alegria. This brilliant fingering-weight yarn is an ultra-soft, resilient blend of superwash merino and polyamide. We had a blast picking out colorways--ranging from soothing to outright psychedelic. You can also head to the Manos Alegria page to come up with a few combinations yourself! How about two of the same variegated shade for a unified experience? Or maybe two different solids for graphic punch? Far out!
