Designed by Tayler Harris for Shibui Knits, the Cecret Cowl is a gorgeously textured, looping accessory. Started from a provisional cast-on and worked in the round in a slip-stitch pattern, the cowl is essentially a long tube. It can be worked as long as you like before the ends are grafted together.
The Cecret Cowl is elegant and gently fuzzy knit with Shibui Billow. In this DK-weight yarn, lofty wisps of merino and alpaca embrace a strong core of cotton for a strand with the quietest touch of fuzz. The center of the yarn contrasts slightly with the more saturated halo, resulting in a fabric with rich visual depth.

5 skeins Shibui Billow (250 yds/229m each).
Samples shown in colors Caper and Noire.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 8 (5mm) 24"/60cm circular needle, or size to obtain gauge.
US H (5mm) crochet hook for provisional cast-on.
Waste yarn.
Stitch marker.
Darning needle to finish.

Approx. 26 sts & 46 rnds = 4"/10cm in Slip Stitch pattern, after blocking.
KNITTER'S NOTES
Cecret is worked in the round as a long tube, starting from a Provisional Cast-On, in a textured slip stitch pattern. Once the tube reaches the desired length, the two ends are then grafted together. Written and charted instructions are given for the Cecret Slip Stitch Pattern.
