Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride
Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride
A bit of a 'sleeper', Lamb's Pride has us in love all over again. Spun and dyed in a family owned and operated mill in Mitchell, Nebraska (a rare thing these days in America), we've carried this worsted weight single-spun in mechanically-wound balls for years and have always thought of it as more of a craft, felting or teaching yarn. But recently we got a few skeins in old-fashioned loose hanks and we all did a double-take — what a gorgeous yarn! So, now we carry it in the shop in beautiful squishy, lustrous hanks. It's a little more trouble to wind into balls, but it's worth it! (Of course, when you order it online, we'll happily wind it into center-pull balls for you if you like — just tick the box on your Shopping Bag page.)
The Lamb's Pride color palette (now dyed with new greener methods) includes rich classics, heathers and fun accents. We're starting with 28 of our favorites online, including everything you need for our Felted Gingerbread Ornaments and a mantel-full of creative riffs on our Basic Christmas Stockings.
