Bias 'Before & After' Scarf - Shibui Reed Version

Bias 'Before & After' Scarf - Shibui Reed Version

"Shimmering stockinette."

We keep coming back to the Bias 'Before & After' pattern again and again. Why? It’s just the right balance of mindless and thoughtful—a little business on the ends of the knit row, otherwise a field of stockinette. No fancy lace or cables here—the star of the show is the yarn.

And what a yarn! Shibui Reed is a new 100% linen yarn that’s shimmery, strong, and soft as a sigh. With a smooth, consistent chainette construction, it flows through your fingers like a breeze. Unlike most linen yarns, Reed is not crisp. Rather, it’s pliable, sleek, graceful—all qualities that emerge in the light, lovely drape of this classic scarf!

Below you'll find the pattern, the adaptation for knitting with linen, and some favorite colors of Shibui Reed. You'll need two skeins for this summery scarf. If you want to see all the colors available, just head over to the Shibui Reed page.
