The Design

"Clean lines, classic shaping.”

Athens is a beautifully fresh wardrobe essential. Seed stitch (worked using two strands of fingering-weight yarn, where one strand is used elsewhere) lends weight and movement to the hem and promises the vented sides won’t curl. With options for two different armhole depths, Athens is lovely worn alone or as an airy layering piece. Designed by Shellie Anderson for Shibui, Athens is worked in fingering-weight, 100% linen Reed.

This four page pattern includes:

  • Lovely full color photography
  • A clear design/sizing schematic
  • Brief guidelines for German twisted cast-on, sloped bind-off, slipped stitch edging, binding off in the center of a row, German short rows, 3-needle bind-off
