Statement of Participation in General Strike

As a company, Churchmouse Yarns & Teas will be closing our online store and suspending all operations for 24 hours on Friday, June 12th.

Today, as individuals, we are striking in solidarity with Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County’s call for a statewide day of action and general strike. We’re honoring the Black lives lost and calling for an end to the brutality and injustice that is inherent in our policing system.

We are using our voice, platform, and resources to help bring urgently needed attention and understanding to the reality of prevailing racist systems.

We will harness our own outrage and regret, reflect on our values, and move forward with meaningful action to end injustice and help our world heal and change.

None of us can have security, dignity, and justice until we all do. Let’s work together with commitment for a just future.
