This appropriately-named fingering-weight yarn from Woolfolk plays with high- and low-contrast marls—Sno means to ‘wind’ or ‘twist’ in Danish. Incredibly soft, Sno is made of 100% Ultimate Merino, the trademarked wool born of a special partnership with Patagonian ranchers, the Nature Conservatory, and the outdoor retailer Patagonia, Inc. Though the micron count approaches cashmere (yes, it’s that soft), the long staple length of merino promises a nice strength.
Former architect, Kristin Ford, learned to knit from her grandmother, Katherine Temple Woolfolk. When she launched her yarn company a few years ago, how could she name it anything else? Kristin’s Danish roots are evident in everything from her design sensibility (“wearable, clean, and minimal”) to her beautiful color sense.
