Vineyard Beanie Using Brooklyn Tweed Arbor
The Design
Not quite a cable, not really lace, this pretty little twisted eyelet stitch pattern lends itself nicely to knitting in the round. Based on a favorite shop pattern, we knit this beanie a little tighter for a stretchier fit, while cleverly mitered crown shaping resolves the stitch pattern beautifully.
Brooklyn Tweed’s Arbor—a DK-weight worsted-spun yarn—was designed for textures just like this! The knit fabric of this 100% American wool has just the right amount of stretch for a hat, and those twirling stitches are crisply defined. And Arbor’s color palette—cheerful brights, moody jewel tones, and sophisticated neutrals—gives us so many hues to play with!
