The Design
Karen Alfke adapted these cuties from a Swedish bootie pattern her mother used when the kids were small. The ribbed cuff and tie help them stay on even the liveliest of little feet. Plus, the Booties are so tiny and quick, you’ll be finished in an evening!
The Stay-On Baby Booties were knit in lightweight, oh, so soft Rowan Cotton Wool—a beautiful worsted-weight blend of organic cotton and merino wool. Cotton Wool’s chainette-style strand gives structure to this airy, breathable fiber combo. It’s perfect for comfy, cuddly booties!

FINISHED SIZE
Newborn–6 months: approx. 4"/10cm long. Note: These booties are not intended for toddlers as they have a bottom seam and lack non-skid soles.

1 skein Rowan Cotton Wool 142 yds (130m).
Or approx. 85 yds/78m of an equivalent worsted-weight yarn.

US 5 (3.75mm) needles, or size to obtain gauge.
