Ribbed from bottom to top, our woolly cuffs have the look of thick socks, but fit nicely into your boots—smooth stirrups keep them seated. Worked in the round without a toe or heel, these cuffs are nice and easy. They’re a great warm-up before you tackle your first pair of socks!
We knit this pair of Cozy Boot Cuffs in Jamieson’s Shetland Heather Aran—a 100% pure Shetland wool! Shorn from a diminutive breed of sheep that has adapted to the rugged Shetland Isles, the hardy fleece is spun by a fifth generation mill family into a yarn that is springy, lofty, and deceptively light. It has just the right insulating properties to line our gardening and rain boots!

FINISHED SIZE
One size stretches to fit up to a 15"/38cm boot top circumference. To fit boot height (excluding heel): ankle boot 6"/15cm; short boot 11"/28cm; tall boot 15½"/39cm; finished height includes 4"/10cm fold-down cuff.
YARN
Jamieson's Shetland Heather Aran (100 yds/92m each).
Ankle boot cuff: 3 skeins or approx. 240 yds/219m of an equivalent worsted-weight yarn.
Short boot cuff: 4 skeins or approx. 340 yds/311m of an equivalent worsted-weight yarn.
Tall boot cuff: 5 skeins or approx. 460 yds/421m of an equivalent worsted-weight yarn.

NEEDLES
US 5 (3.75mm) double-points, or size to obtain gauge.
US 8 (5mm) needle, or three sizes larger than gauge needle, for bind off.
2 yds/m smooth waste yarn for provisional cast-on.
US J (6mm) crochet hook for provisional cast-on.
Locking marker.
Darning needle to finish.
