We worked closely with our friend, Della Q, to create this set of Churchmouse-exclusive Project Pouches! Exquisitely handmade in Vietnam, these pouches have a sheer, yet sturdy, black mesh front (no need to unzip to see the contents!), fine enough that knitting and darning needles won’t poke through. With a durable cotton back and a stout, smooth zipper (we thought the Churchmouse ribbon zipper pull was a nice touch!)—they’re our dream pouch come true!

The Churchmouse Project Pouches come in four convenient sizes. The smallest (measuring 4.75”/12 cm tall, 8”/20.3 cm wide, and 2”/5 cm deep) can hold essential knitting notions and tools—the demi size (measuring 5.75”/14.6 cm tall, 8”/20.3 cm wide, and 2”/5 cm deep) can hold even more! The medium pouch (measuring 7.25”/18.4 cm tall, 11”/28 cm wide, and 2.75”/7 cm deep) is great for small accessory projects and slips easily into a tote or backpack. The largest pouch (measuring 10”/25.4 cm tall, 14”/35.5 cm wide, and 3.75”/9.5 cm deep) is perfect for multi-skein projects—and can hold a Churchmouse Classics pattern!

Della Q sources her fabric every season through her partnership with a workshop in Vietnam. There, local women are employed to sew her products by hand. In addition to visiting the workshop each year, Della shares a portion of her profits with Mekong Quilts, an organization that trains low-income and rural Vietnamese women in the art of quilting. Stewardship at its best!
