One fellow told us that our thumb gusset reminded him of a sweep of chrome on a car, so we knew we’d hit a nice, masculine note!
The Ferryboat Mitts are ruggedly handsome in Tahki Donegal Tweed. A 100% pure wool yarn, it’s spun with coordinating flecks and bits of wool to give the knit fabric that signature, tweedy look. Your mitts will be sturdy, naturally warm, and beautiful in Donegal Tweed’s palette of earth, sea, and sky tones.

FINISHED SIZES
Ribbed throughout, these mitts will fit a wide range of hand sizes.
Small/Medium: Approx. 6"/15cm around; to fit an average woman's hand.
Medium/Large: Approx. 7"/18cm around; to fit an average man's hand.
Regular cuff length: 9½"/24cm. Arm-warmer length: 12½"/32 cm.
YARN
Small/Medium: 1 skein Tahki Donegal Tweed (183yds/167m). Approx. 125 yds/114m of worsted-weight yarn for regular cuff length; approx. 160 yds/146m for arm-warmer length. To adjust length, allow 13 yds/12m of yarn per knitted inch.
Medium/Large: 1 skein Tahki Donegal Tweed (183yds/167m) Approx. 160 yds/146m of worsted-weight yarn for regular cuff length; approx. 210 yds/192m for arm-warmer length. Shown in Medium/Large, cuff length 9 1/2" in color 884, light grey.
NEEDLES
US 6 (4mm) double-point needles, or size to obtain gauge.
Double-points one size larger than gauge size for arm warmer cuffs.

Approx. 28 sts = 4"/10cm in K2⁄P2 ribbing, not stretched.
