The Design

Julie Hoover brings knitters another knock-out design. An everyday pullover with purl-ridge textured stripes made with two strands of irresistible yarn—Shibui Pebble and Twig held together throughout. These fibers create a fabric that's soft to the touch, drapey, and lightweight all at once. With design details like A-line shaping, a ballet neck, and bracelet length drop sleeves Wintour is super flattering and easy to wear. The relaxed fit compliments the simple details of repeating purl stripes and 2x2 ribbing―and the high/low split hem is the final special touch.

Detailed written instructions and schematic included, and Julie's 'Construction Notes' give you a road map for where you are headed before you even begin swatching.

Intended to fit bust sizes 30-32 (34-36, 38-40, 42-44, 46-48, 50-52)” with +4–6” ease.

YARN
Yarn A: 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10) skeins Shibui Pebble (224 yds/205m ea) and

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 6 (4.0mm) 16" and 24" circular and double-point needles or size needed to get gauge.
US 5 (3.75mm) 16" and 24" circular and double-point needles needles or 1 size smaller than gauge needle for ribbing.
US 3 (3.5mm) 16" circular needles or 3 sizes smaller than gauge needle for neckline.
Stitch marker.
Locking stitch marker or coiless safety pins.
Stitch holders or waste yarn.
Blocking wires and t-pins (optional but recommended).
Darning needle for finishing.

GAUGE
20 sts/33 rows to 4" in stockinette stitch with one strand each of Yarns A and B held together throughout, after blocking.

KNITTER'S NOTES
The body of Wintour is worked from the bottom up in pieces, then seamed. The sleeves and neckline are picked up and worked circularly. Generous range of sizes (36" to 56" bust). Meant to be worn with 4-6" of positive ease.
