Oliver Pluff Hot Toddy Mix

Oliver Pluff Hot Toddy Mix

"Wonderfully warming."

Hot toddies warm you to tips of your toes—and your knitting fingers! A hot toddy, Oliver Pluff & Co. tells us, was named for the Indian drink created from the toddy palm (a palm tree which is cultivated to produce a wine). It arrived in Scotland, transported and translated by the East India Company, as a hot whiskey drink infused with water, honey, herbs, and spices.

We’ve picked out two wonderfully warming (and consistently crowd-pleasing) flavors, and each is made with deliciously traditional ingredients. Lemon Ginger contains cinnamon sticks, lemongrass, ginger, and lemon peel, while Orange Clove is made from cinnamon sticks, orange peel, chicory, and cloves.

Just add a spice bag to boiling water, add some honey (we love using our Mileeven Honey with Jameson’s Whiskey!), stir in an ounce or two of whiskey (or rum, or brandy, or if you prefer an spirit-free version, try adding your favorite black tea), top off with more boiling water and prepare to banish the chill!

Each tin includes brewing instructions, 3 reusable muslin spice bags with drawstrings, and enough assorted spices to brew three gallons.
