Known as the "Champagne"of teas, darjeeling is lighter, brighter and friskier than most black teas. Grown at high elevations in the northern regions of India, Darjeeling is prized as one of the finest teas. It has a lovely amber color and slightly sweet notes. When not piping hot, you will taste the subtle muscatel notes usually associated with Darjeeling teas.

Our Mim Estate Darjeeling comes from an estate from which, on a clear day, you can see Mount Everest. We offer the second flush (end of May through June) because its flavor is more fully developed than first flush (March through April). It's priced very well for its designation of Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (TGFOP)—can you see the little golden buds in the photo?

Note: packed in a facility that handles nuts.

Boiling water (212 F). Steep 3-4 minutes. Too delicate for milk.
