Woolly Wreath & Garland Project
Years ago we knitted mammoth woolly wreaths for our shop holiday display and they were so popular that we created a pattern for a home-sized version for a cozy accent all winter long. The wreaths are nice hung singly or in pairs, indoors or out (protect from inclement weather), or placed on a table. The little garland is charming wrapped around your tree, over the mantle, down the banister anywhere you want a little woolly magic. We've even been known to wear it!
Because there are so many options, instead of kits, we offer components here: You'll need 1 skein of Fleece Artist Slubby Blue (50% Blue Face Leicester wool, 50% Merino wool 125g, 109 yds/100m) for each 12-foot garland, 2 skeins for each 12" wreath, and 4 skeins for each 18" wreath. The pattern includes instructions for both wreath sizes and the garland. Each wreath form comes with muslin wrapping, but if you use the darker colored yarn you won't need to use it, so save it for another project.
You'll also need US 15 (10mm) knitting needles for the wreaths (yarn is worked double); we suggest straights. You'll need US 11 (8mm) double-points for garlands (yarn worked single).
