Now, after almost 20 years, these gloves are still fan favorites. The thumb gusset is a but finicky, but well worth the effort. Some had better success when they asked a friend to read each step while they knit. Just do exactly what the pattern says and you'll love the result.

Knitter's notes

1. Some knitters have trouble with the thumb directions. It is a wordy patch, isn't it? Stick it out though, because the thumb bind-off is quite tidy. It might help to have someone read the directions out loud to you.

2. While buttons are optional, if you add them, you create a left and a right glove. Otherwise your gloves are reversible. Something to consider!
