Last-Minute Cowl Project - Marled Cocoon Version
A chunky cowl in Rowan Cocoon–hard to beat! We love cocooning down inside this scrumptiously soft yarn. We double stranded for creative color marling. Use a US 17 (12mm) needle (available below) and this cowl knits up in a few sessions. You can also go for gorgeous monochrome depth by using two strands of one color. You’ll find our favorite marled colorways below. If you to prefer to select your own, or want to try the one-color version, just head over to the Rowan Cocoon page for a full selection of gorgeous colors.
Our seed stitch or 2x2 ribbed patterns are perfect for this yarn. We used colorways Crag-Venus (lower left), Clay-Forest (lower center) and Crag-Tundra (lower right). If you didn’t see the free Last-Minute Cowl pattern in our 2013 Holiday Newsletter, just grab the free download below. For the men in your life to wear (or make!), we’ve also got a more masculine Last-Minute Muffler pattern. No matter which option you choose, the results are gorgeous. Not to mention incredibly warm. Knit one to give, give one to knit, or treat yourself.
