Frangipani 5-ply Guernsey
This rare and remarkable yarn, shipped directly to us from Penzance in Cornwall, is a high-twist traditional knitter's wool, worsted spun in Yorkshire. Knit at 8 stitches to the inch, it delivers a dense fabric that is virtually water- and windproof, and shows off 'gansey' purl patterns beautifully. It's also nice knit at softer gauges. We've recently increased our range to 20 colors, including three navies!
100g, 240 yds(220m). 28-32 sts = 4"/10cm on US 2-3 (2.5-3.25mm).
Hand wash.
