Jolly Wee Elf Project
"No one elf is like another!"
Perfectly adorable on your holiday tea table, tree or gift packages, these wee elves knit up in a trice. The more you make, the more you want to make!
We rounded up our favorite, festive elf-friendly colors of Rowan Fine Tweed. Choose one skein each for the main color and scarf color, along with the face color and you can make a wee tribe of 10 elves (5 each in reverse color combinations of suits and scarves). Guaranteed to bring a wee smile to everyone. (Not suitable for small children.)
Approx. 3½" tall, or desired height.
2 skeins Rowan Fine Tweed (98 yds/90m each): one each of two colors for main color (MC) and scarf color (SC); plus approx. 23 yds (6gm) for Face Color (FC).
Note: Makes approx. 10 elves (5 each in reverse color combinations of suits and scarves).
US 1½ (2.5mm) double-points (set of five), or size to obtain gauge.
One locking marker.
Ten 3/8" zinc washers (1" diameter).
Wool batting or polyester stuffing.
28–32 sts=4"/10cm in stockinette stitch worked in the round. Note: Gauge is not critical, but you want a firm fabric so your stuffing does not show through.
