Kelly's Frothy Crocheted Scarf & Wrap

Our friend Kelly Jahraus is a dyed-in-the-wool crochet evangelist. She certainly hooked us with this scarf! We love that it has the look of a delicate lace stitch but is—we kid you not—all simple single crochet. The secret is the humongous hook, which takes a little getting used to, but then it flies!.

FINISHED SIZES
Scarf: Approx. 10 x 80"/25 x 203cm, blocked.
Wrap: Approx. 18 x 90"/46 x 229cm, blocked.

YARN
Scarf: 1 skein Alchemy Haiku (325 yds/297m). Or approx. 325 yds/297m of an equivalent lace-weight mohair yarn.
Wrap: 3 skeins Rowan Kidsilk Haze (229 yds/210m each). Or approx. 687 yds/628m of an equivalent lace-weight mohair yarn.

NOTIONS
Size P (11.5mm) crochet hook, or size to obtain gauge.
Blocking wires.

GAUGE
8.5 sts/9 rows in sc = 4"/10cm, before blocking.
8.5 sts/8 rows in sc = 4"/10cm, after blocking.
