X x X Anniversary Tea Cozy

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our shop, we stirred together a few of our favorite things: cables, tweed and tea! And just to be a little eXtra clever, we made sure to sneak in 10 (X!) little X-ing cables.  We think every home needs a Brown Betty. And every teapot needs a tweedy cozy!

FINISHED SIZES
To fit standard Brown Betty-style teapots: 4-cup (6-cup).
Yarn information given for 4-cup size; 6-cup size in parentheses ( ).

YARN
1(2) skein(s) Rowan Felted Tweed (191 yds/175m each); yarn held double throughout. Or approx. 191(230) yds/175(210)m of an equivalent dk-weight yarn held double. Or approx. 100(115) yds/91(105)m of a heavy worsted yarn (16 sts = 4"/10cm) held single.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 7 (4.5mm) needles (any format), or size to obtain a stretchy but lofty ribbing.
US 7 (4.5mm) double-point needles (2 only, for I-cord top; optional)
Cable needle.

GAUGE
Approx. 24 sts = 4"/10cm over K2/P2 ribbing (not stretched), yarn held double.
